Snow

The snow effect on stage can be achieved by using a moving effects projector with a revolving snowflake disc. The image of the snow is projected onto the set and on the stage floor. A more realistic snow effect can be a achieved by using a confetti cannon which catapults confetti over the stage, or by using flakes of a soaplike material which disappears when it comes in contact with the stage and the actors. The Confetti or soap flakes can be lit with a stroboscope, further increasing the realism of the effect.
