Methods of Projection

    01_07_311_01

An extensive variety of projectors is available on the market, allowing a wide range of brightness and sharpness as well as image size.

Simple projections can be achieved using standard theatre lighting equipment such as profile-spots, while powerful projections require special equipment. Moving images can be achieved with sophisticated film and video projectors, while simple moving effects can be created simply by adding a motor and an objective lens system to common theatrical luminaires like PC spots.

For optimal use, projection systems may include any of the following:
* Electronic or mechanical dimmers.
* Dissolve units.
* Lighting control board (manual or computerized)
* Lamp changing systems.
* Slide changers.
* Compatibility with SMPTE, MIDI, and DMX 512 digital communication protocols to enable synchronization between projections and other elements of the show such as sound, lights, moving scenery and special effects.
