Lighting elements express the artistic organization of the lighting, and can be indicated verbally, in thumbnail sketches or using mimic floor plans. Details such as entrances, exits, mise-en-scene and technical notations (such as placement of luminaires) can also be noted. A few of these schematic plans can be drawn on the same page, which is then reproduced as many times as necessary .
These lighting elements will be used at a later
stage
in order to develop the technical plans for execution of the lighting, and details such as the type and number of instruments, control channels and filter numbers will be added to it .
